Synopsis
.Hack//Sign is a series that takes place amidst a popular online role playing game in the near future. Characters try to play out the goals they set for entertainment and passing of time. The World as the RPG is called is one with a setting of monsters, player characters and dungeons. Tsukasa is a detached and introverted character that has a number of mysteries about his player character.
Many weird happenings seem to surround Tsukasa and his involvement in a rare item called 'The Key Of The Twilight' sparks Tsukasa'a meeting with different online characters and the befriending of their real life counterparts; All without ever meeting face to face in reality. What is strange about Tsukasa is that he can't seem to log out of The World. Subaru and Silver Knight of The Crimson Knights continue to look for proof of why Tsukasa can not log out or the existence of The Key Of The Twilight. Meanwhile Bear, Mimiru, and BT as Tsukasa's friends try to help him understand who he really is and how he can return to the real world... Click here to watch .Hack//Sign Trailer

I agree with most of you. But especially Myeerah. Being familiar with the entire MMORPG experience, and playing them for years now has really brought me close to this anime. I loved every moment of it, evrn the silly light hearted ending.
so dramatized! kinda boring and confuzing in the beggining but what drama animes aren't? it was very weird thinking about it! so surprising and there are so many diffrent outcomes that could have happened. wow really good series.

It was a strange and dramatic anime. Lots of diffrent ideas, I could probably even overanalize it to death but I won't. Im a bit confused where the reverso negative characters came into play. I guess I should watch the second series. There are also about 10 diffrent ps2 japanese title games .hack// somthing or another but I only understand a little japanese so havent really played them.

yup i watched it yeara ago i thought it was wierd then and even when i think about it now its pretty strange.
it might not deserve a 10/10 but irle give it one any ways :p

I really like this anime. It's kind of different, with the whole game world scenario, but if you're familiar with MMORPG's you'll totally get it and probably like this show.
