Synopsis
Elemental Gelade is about Cou, the bumbling rookie of the "Red Lynx" sky pirate squadron, has just discovered the treasure of a lifetime - a mighty member of the ancient race of Edel Raids. Ren, at first glance, seems to be a shy and defenseless girl, but she holds within her a power that many are willing to kill for.

This anime is so awesome! Never listen to anyone who says this anime sucks or is mediocre. I've watched a lot of anime and I have to say, this is now one of my top favorites. The plot was well thought out, the music is awesome, and the action rocks! I highly recommend this anime to everyone.
This was a pretty good anime. The only thing I hate about most animes is... WHEN THEY END. Sigh... I wanted there to be a more in depth romance... but we can't always get what we want now can we? I'd suggest watching it in your spare time, or just watch 5 episodes a night and you'll be done within the week! Still... It lacked in areas and was good overall... I just never like endings x.x

Its clear that we must not be watching the same series, because this is by far one of the most mediocre animes that Animecrave has. From the plot development to the character development. There are hundreds of better Animes out there to watch. I suppose my biggest gripe would be the main characters. In all of my Anime watching, i have never seen two main characters as ineffectual and wordy as ren and cou. Especially Cou, who spends 90% of the time running his mouth about how hes going to protect ren and then fails horribly. You would think he would take the time to develop some of his innate skills more than just power rubbing off of ren. And even this is far and between since sees often unhealthy and unstable. I dont know, i gave this series a 1 star... Now im gunna go watch something like Beck or Samurai Champloo in order to forget what i saw.

Today I was watching this anime series, which worked fine up to a point. Right now I can't even get it working right. It's like it don't want to play.
