Installing Bluestack on HP Stream 7 1GB memory

Postby Bassam » February 11th, 2015, 7:02 pm

So I followed the following guide to get bluestacks installed on Our HP Stream 7 with only 1 GB memory.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouFtNUQO8y0

Basically you download bluestacks full version:
https://mega.co.nz/#!0t1l1AqZ!oaCr8syqm ... VyMqmxy8mQ

Download Orca:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Authoring- ... Orca.shtml

1. Using Orca you basically right click on the bluestacks .exe file and click edit with Orca.
2. You got to Launch condition and you change the physical memory to 512 or right click and drop row.

Next after it installs you may run into a problem where your stuck in initializing or it closes immediately after launch.. To solve this do this:

Go to Run > Regedit (then hit enter) > Navigate to Local Machine\Software\bluestacks\guests\Android > Change the memory from whatever it is to 400 (Make sure Decimal is picked... You can experiment with this if you would like.

Another issue you may find is the orientation may seem wrong.. Basically vertical is horizontal and vise versa. To solve this do this:

Go to Run > Regedit (then hit enter) > Navigate to Local Machine\Software\bluestacks\guests\Android\FrameBuffer\0 > Change anything with height to match your current tablet width (for me 1280) > Change anything with Width to your tablets height for me thats (800).

As you see they just had to be flipped and this should make sure Bluestacks works on your Stream 7!
